Confrontation

Nothing to be apologetic about your feeling of restlessness and bent towards blaming for the atrocities you face. After all, it informs one about the existence of a feather hitherto unknown. But, since it gives your stomach an eerie feeling, it is required to be mollified and morphosed into something which can alleviate all the gastronomic troubles; which can turn your being into a perfumery. And who does not like the thought of turning into a living, walking perfume or the whole perfumery?

Let us confront that restlessness has become common these days. Confrontation is one apparatus life sustains on. Now, notice, I am using the word confrontation and not pugilism. If you and I were together this evening, I would have liked conversing about the same and brought to the table, the topic of poetic confrontation.

Poetic: the word at times inspire awe, at others, is not considered worthy of welcome. If you belong to this other school of thought, it is required of you to keep your prejudices quiet for the length of this column. By poetic, I mean one should strive to become an absorbent and a reflector; absorbent of circumstances and reflector of the mystery in an ordered form.  It gives one a kind of calm when upon reflection, a rainbow like beauty is conceived.

But before going further, let me inform you, this is not a lecture. This blog post is an attempt to converse and know what goes on in the mind of my reader (which can be shared by commenting).

Mind is the breeding ground. Whenever we resist our circumstances and attempt to halt their course, this breeding ground stales and stinks. Nevertheless, we do that, thinking it will bring us some magical potion. But far from magic what we do get is a lump of putrid entities. Don’t we? So you see, all of it is in keeping with contemporary techniques; with experimentation. It is therefore important to flow with and confront whatever comes our way rather than consciously attempting to halt the train provoking constipation and ultimately farts. The flow assures a route away from restlessness. Now, if one succeeds in resisting the resistance of one’s mind, one encounters stones and puddles on the way. To create a way out of them, while being with them is where the aesthetics lie. To stay and look into the eye of harsh circumstance is therefore a feat. But doing it poetically is where lies the greatest strength.

Attending to ‘all’ that goes on around us calmly, raises our understanding of life and hence helps us live fully. This is where poetry comes in. Poetry is best at taking into consideration the context and then potterising it into sublimity. This happens because by attending, we increase the perimeter of our selves. In other words, we increase the space where we usually accommodate others; circumstances. If one succeeds in aping poetry, life can actually turn from restlessness to beauty.

And all of this turns us into collective beings, more sensitive towards others, which further leads to showering of love upon us from the collection, hence reducing the route to restlessness into a non-entity.

So for the sake of love, let us confront poetically and sprinkle the beauty of our perfumery. What say?

  1. Firstly, very well written and that I can relate it to myself. Additionally, I think it is human nature to be anxious and to aspire. With aspirations as well comes great anxiety and restlessness. I personally feel that when you stop caring about the results – be it an exam or life, you tend to be more relaxed and your mind is free – free to jot down an anecdote or a poem and thus poetry and literature do tend to alleviate your being. Further, I would also like to add that when you are out of your comfort zone or you meet new people or discover new worlds – you might also tend to think that the issues that ‘worry’ humans are so petty and there are far more greater things to acknowledge.

      1) One can never feel personally. Whatever one feels is because of others.
      2) one can never stop caring for results if one is really in love with what one is doing
      3) what do you mean by free mind creates literature?
      4) literature (poetry) do not alleviate one’s being … Poetry is one’s being…

        • Expectations are part of human experience, of love. The load of them not affecting our breath is over us…even when they are present. They have been here since humanity’s conception…so living with them is the only option we have…we cannot be sans them…getting anxious because of them is what is burdensome… What I am trying to get at is…simply be with them…when they are there…why get anxious because of them

    • Further, I would also like to add that when you are out of your comfort zone or you meet new people or discover new worlds – you might also tend to think that the issues that ‘worry’ humans are so petty and there are far more greater things to acknowledge.

Issues that worry humans can never be petty…come what may…at even the thousandth new world, these issues will follow us…these worlds are constitutive of us …they are constituted by our eye…so the issues will never leave us…great things become great when they comprehensively deal with the issues that ‘worry’ humans…

      • I would say that we occupy world and world is not what we created. For instance, our consciousness is a result of filtering of brain and experiences is just a result of that filter of brain, otherwise no two individuals can have same experiences. By that I mean that as Higgs Boson, there is always there a field of ‘consciousness’ and we experience something because when out consciousness interacts with those fields. We merely are one billionth of the 5% tangible matter in the universe and what humans do or feel is even smaller. Hence, I think what I said about ‘worrying’ is that we are living in materialism and we should be not effected by it.

        • And what would happen if that 5% is absent? If their worries are absent… Your higgs bosonic consciousness would be left equally helpless … So worries, even materialistic are created by us and are important to us….world is created (at least to our eyes) by creation of our feelings…you are saying our feelings are created by 95% of the fields that surround us…but that 95% is present because of our presence… It would equally go haywire if we were absent, our worries were absent…so what I am trying to gesture at is rather than not getting affected by materialism (we cannot escape it affecting us..as it is human nature …as u said), one should attempt to deal with it and then try to show it a better route…this will help us hug those who believed in its previous form..(what you are calling materialism) … Nobody is sure what is right or wrong …but one can always attempt to be on better routes…with others…rather than not getting affected by what happens around us…as we can’t help getting affected…it is not about me or you…it is about all..about human consciousness…
